a great place
to live!

What is independent living?

Independent living accommodation is available to people over 55 years who have retired from full-time work.

At Eventide Homes we offer two types of independent living accommodation: our cottages and The Plantation Village villas.

All accommodation is safe and secure, tailored for a wide range of mobility aids and connected to the 24-hour Nurse on Call service.

Residents have access to services provided by Eventide Homes (at residents’ expense) such as pathology, personal care, diversional therapy, delivered meals, cleaning, gardening and maintenance, running errands like banking and dry-cleaning, newspaper delivery, kiosk and access to visiting health and beauty services.

The Village Playhouse provides a common area for activities, entertainment and regular meetings for independent living residents. The town bus service also stops at Eventide Homes, enabling residents to get out and about in the community independently.

And, if our independent residents require a little extra support following an illness or operation, we can provide some respite care (Aged Care Assessment Services assessment required). Likewise, if we feel that any of our independent residents require a higher level of personal care at any time, we will discuss this with them and their family/carer.

A bit of respite

If you need a little extra care following an illness or surgery, we offer a respite service for our independent living residents. Click here to find out more about this service including assessment.
