What is residential respite?
Eventide Homes offers a six-bed residential respite care service. Each resident is entitled to nine weeks respite per financial year.
The service is available to our independent living residents who may need a little extra care following an illness or surgery. It is also available to families in the broader Stawell community, providing carers with a break from their continuous duties.
Respite residents have access to the full spectrum of services provided by Eventide Homes during their stay*.
To be eligible for respite care, all potential residents must first undergo an assessment by Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS). For more information about eligibility, contact the Aged Care Information Line on 1800 500 853 or speak to your health care provider.

Other specialty care
In addition to our respite care service, we also provide a special service for people suffering from dementia in Grampians House, our 18-bed secure Special Needs wing.
